How much do piano movers cost?
Piano moves are usually a flat price based on the type of piano, the number of stairs and the distance. Send us a photo of the piano and both entrances for the fastest quote.
Moving the piano with the rest of your home? It is added to your local or long distance quote.

The right tools for heavy lifting
Specialty moves go wrong when crews improvise. Ours arrive with gear built for the item.
Why these items aren't a DIY job
Every year, people get hurt and pianos get damaged trying to save a few hundred dollars.
The weight is uneven
Pianos and safes are top or back heavy. Tipping one even slightly can make it impossible to control.
Stairs multiply the risk
On a staircase, the people below carry most of the load. That is where most injuries happen.
Damage is often hidden
A knock can crack a soundboard or misalign a safe door without visible marks on the outside.
Floors and walls take hits too
Heavy wheels dent hardwood and scrape walls. Our crews protect the route before they start.

Specialty moving questions
Still unsure? Call 647-930-4171 and talk to a real coordinator.
How much does it cost to move a piano?
A local upright piano move typically costs [$X to $Y], and a grand piano [$X to $Y]. Stairs, tight turns and distance change the price. Your quote is confirmed after we see photos or visit.
Can you move a piano up or down stairs?
Yes. Stairs are common. We bring extra crew and the right equipment, and we check the route ahead of time. Let us know the number of steps and any tight turns when you book.
Do I need to tune my piano after moving it?
Usually, yes. Moves and changes in temperature and humidity affect tuning. Most piano technicians suggest waiting two to four weeks after the move so the piano can settle before tuning.
Can you crate artwork or antiques?
[Confirm whether PinkBird builds custom crates in-house or uses a partner, and for which items.]
Can you move a gun safe?
Yes, for most residential safes. Tell us the make, model or weight, and the access at both ends. The safe must be empty and unlocked. [Confirm weight limit.]
Can specialty items be added to a regular move?
Yes. Most specialty items go on the same truck as the rest of your home move, with extra crew or equipment added to your quote.
