Moving within London or heading somewhere new? PinkBird offers residential, local and long-distance moving, packing and storage to help you plan the transition.
Whether you are leaving a shared student house, settling into a family home or relocating to another province, tell us what your move involves and we will help you explore your options.
Share a few details to start your quote.
London has room for many kinds of moves. You might be leaving a shared student house near Western University, moving into a first apartment downtown, or finding more space for your family in Byron or Summerside. Each situation calls for a different inventory, timeline and plan for moving day.
PinkBird Moving & Storage helps people and businesses organize local and long-distance relocations from London, Ontario. Our services cover household and commercial moves, packing, storage, specialty items and junk removal. We discuss the details that matter to your particular move rather than treating every address as the same job.
Whether you are staying in the Forest City or starting somewhere new in Canada, begin by telling us what you are moving, where you are headed and what assistance would be useful. We will help you explore the available options and prepare for the next step.
Discuss your London move ↗
From a few rooms to a full workplace, our services can be combined around your inventory, timing and destination.
A home move can involve years of belongings, from everyday kitchen items to furniture that needs extra preparation. Tell us about your rooms, stairs, entrances and preferred schedule. We help plan moves involving houses, apartments and townhomes, including situations where packing or storage is needed between addresses.
Explore Residential Moving ↗Changing neighbourhoods within London? A local relocation still benefits from careful timing, accurate inventory and a practical loading plan. We consider travel between addresses, parking and access at each property so that the move is organized around your actual circumstances.
Explore Local Moving ↗Leaving London for another Canadian city or arriving from elsewhere in the country requires a different level of coordination. Discuss your destination, delivery needs, belongings and preferred dates with us. We can help you understand the moving services available for your route.
Explore Long-Distance Moving ↗A workplace relocation can involve desks, equipment, files and the needs of several employees. We work with you to clarify the scope, access restrictions and scheduling considerations before a commercial move, whether your business is changing offices or moving to another community.
Explore Commercial Moving ↗If you are balancing work, family or a lease deadline, packing may be the task you would rather delegate. Ask about assistance with selected rooms or a larger portion of your belongings. Identifying delicate items and labelling boxes in advance also helps make unpacking more manageable.
Explore Packing Services ↗A possession date, renovation or temporary living arrangement may leave a gap between moving out and moving in. We offer storage solutions that can be discussed alongside your move. Explain your expected timeline, inventory and access needs so suitable arrangements can be explored.
Explore Storage Services ↗Oversized or delicate belongings deserve an individual conversation. Let us know the dimensions, weight and handling concerns of any specialty items before booking. Our team can assess your requirements and confirm which services are appropriate.
Explore Specialty Moving ↗A move is a useful moment to sort through items that no longer belong in your next space. Ask about junk removal when downsizing, preparing a property for sale or clearing a room before packing. Confirm the items and scope with our team in advance.
Explore Junk Removal ↗Our aim is to make the planning clearer, whether you need help with transportation alone or several parts of the relocation.
Moving, packing, storage and junk removal can be considered together. You can explain your priorities without having to assume that every service is required.
PinkBird is a licensed and insured moving company. Ask us about the coverage and terms that apply to your particular move before confirming your booking.
We offer both pricing arrangements where appropriate. Your written quotation should explain the selected structure, included services and any relevant conditions.
We help with moves within London as well as long-distance relocations across Canada. Share your destination early so we can discuss the logistics relevant to your route.
The right moving plan depends as much on the properties involved as it does on the distance between them.
London brings together older residential streets, newer subdivisions, busy student rental areas and downtown apartment buildings. A move from a walk-up near Old North can involve very different access than a move from a detached home in Byron. We encourage customers to describe both locations so the plan reflects the properties involved.
We can discuss moves in areas such as Old South and Wortley Village, Downtown London, Old North, Masonville, Hyde Park, Westmount, Byron, White Oaks, Summerside and Old East Village. If you are moving to or from a nearby community, share the addresses and ask about service availability for your route.
Do not forget the smaller details: basement storage, backyard entrances, narrow interior staircases and street parking can matter even when the new address is only a few kilometres away.
London's housing mix creates moving situations that deserve more specific preparation than a generic checklist.
Students moving between residences, shared houses and apartments may have a smaller inventory, but often face fixed lease dates and limited time to coordinate. Before booking, decide which roommates are moving together, who will be present for pickup and whether your building requires advance access arrangements.
If you are leaving town for a term or cannot move directly into your next home, ask about storage. Keep important academic materials, identification and everyday essentials separate from boxes that can remain packed.
When the old lease and new lease begin on different dates, even a short relocation can become complicated. Confirm when you can collect keys, whether the new property is ready for furniture and where a moving vehicle may stop. A realistic timeline should account for cleaning, final inspections and the handover of your previous home.
For apartment buildings, check whether you need to book an elevator or provide information to the property manager. If friends are helping with some tasks, clarify which items the moving company will handle.
A family move often involves more than furniture and boxes. Children may need familiar essentials on arrival, while large items, garage contents and seasonal belongings require additional preparation. Start with the rooms you use least, then create a clearly labelled set of essentials for your first evening in the new home.
If you are moving from a smaller home to a larger property, measure any oversized furniture and check the entrances at your destination. If you are downsizing, decide early which belongings will be moved, stored or removed.
Relocating between London and another Canadian city introduces questions about travel, delivery timing and the belongings you will need while in transit. Make a detailed inventory and identify anything you plan to transport personally. Tell us if you have a firm possession date or a gap before you can receive your belongings.
Discuss the route, packing and any storage needs before confirming the quotation. The earlier those details are clear, the easier it is to compare the available arrangements.
A straightforward process helps you prepare for moving day without leaving important decisions until the last minute.
Start with your pickup and delivery addresses, preferred date and approximate inventory. Mention whether you need packing, storage or assistance with specialty items.
We review stairs, elevators, parking, building restrictions and any time-sensitive circumstances. These details help clarify the services required and the scope of the quotation.
Read the proposed pricing arrangement and confirm what is included. Ask about changes to your inventory, scheduling and any additional services before agreeing to the move.
Arrange keys, loading access and building permissions. Label boxes by destination room, set aside personal essentials and communicate any important updates before moving day.
Belongings are loaded, transported and unloaded according to the agreed arrangements. Check your items and prioritize the rooms you need first as you settle into your new place.
There is no single price that accurately represents every move in London. An apartment relocation near campus, a multi-bedroom move across the city and a long-distance relocation all involve different amounts of labour, transportation and preparation. The most useful estimate starts with a clear description of your situation.
Inventory is one of the biggest considerations. A small home with large, heavy furniture may need different handling from a larger property with mostly packed boxes. The layout of both addresses matters too, particularly when a vehicle cannot park close to the entrance or belongings need to travel up several flights of stairs.
PinkBird offers hourly and flat-rate pricing options where appropriate. Hourly arrangements are tied to chargeable time under the agreed terms, while a flat-rate quotation applies to a defined scope of work. Neither option should be judged by its headline number alone.
When comparing estimates, review what each company has included. Ask about packing materials, additional services, changes to inventory, access restrictions and the circumstances that may affect the final charge. A written quotation should help you make those comparisons.
Use these steps to avoid preventable surprises, whether you are changing neighbourhoods or moving across the province.
Confirm exactly when you can leave your current property and enter the next one. If the dates do not align, ask about storage before the final week rather than assuming everything can be delivered immediately.
Shared houses and apartments may have narrow staircases, limited driveways or several people moving on the same day. Coordinate with roommates and landlords so the moving team has a clear route and access window.
Do not assume a truck can stop directly outside every address. Check street restrictions, private parking rules and loading arrangements, especially for downtown properties or busy rental streets.
Keep chargers, toiletries, medication, important paperwork, bedding and a few changes of clothes with you. Label boxes by room and set aside anything you will need before the rest of the home is unpacked.

A few early conversations can make your quotation more accurate and your moving day less rushed.
Take a room-by-room inventory and include the spaces people often forget, such as basements, garages, storage lockers and balconies. Separate anything you plan to donate or remove so it is not included by mistake. If a large item requires disassembly, mention that when discussing the scope.
An inventory is especially useful if you are sharing a move with roommates or combining belongings from more than one address. Identify who owns which items and where each piece needs to be delivered.
Ask property managers about elevator bookings, permitted moving hours and loading areas. At houses, check driveway access and any narrow entrances. If you are moving into a newly built property, confirm that possession and access arrangements are final before committing to a schedule.
Take note of any restrictions at the destination, not just the pickup address. It is much easier to discuss a difficult staircase or restricted parking space in advance than to discover it when the truck arrives.
Decide which tasks you can realistically complete before moving day. Packing may take longer than expected when you are balancing work, classes or childcare. If you want assistance with particular rooms or fragile belongings, ask about available options while planning the move.
Storage can also be useful when you are waiting for a new lease to start, renovating or travelling between homes. Describe how long you expect the gap to last and what items you need to keep accessible.
Check the date, addresses, services and pricing structure shown on your written quotation. Ask how the company handles schedule changes, additional belongings and access conditions that differ from the original description. Make sure you understand which services are included and which may be quoted separately.
Keep a copy of the agreement and share updates promptly if your circumstances change. Clear communication before moving day helps everyone work from the same plan.
The cost depends on your inventory, distance, property access, preferred date and any additional services. PinkBird offers hourly and flat-rate pricing options where appropriate. Share accurate details to request a quotation for your specific move.
